Updates to Django

Last week we had 15 pull requests merged into Django by 12 different contributors - including 4 first time contributors! Congratulations to Denys Halenok, Alexander Lazarević, Syed Waheed, and Eva Nanyonga for having their first commits merged into Django - welcome on board!

Exciting recent developments:

  • A Django roadmap workshop and a Django contributor retrospective is being organised by Thibaud Colas. You can react to express your interest in these sessions. ❤️
  • Djangonaut Space has started a new session! 18 Djangonauts are exploring Django and other third party packages to launch their open source journey. 🚀

Last week's main update to the Django codebase was that more fields have been exposed for GeoIP2.country() and GeoIP2.city(). See the Django 5.1 release notes for more details.
